Lee Hye-young Names Choi Min-sik and Choi Min-soo as Most Challenging Co-stars

In the April 28 episode of Shin Dong-yeop’s YouTube channel “Salty Brother Shin Dong-yeop,” Lee Hye-young and Kim Sung-cheol appeared to promote their film “Decay” (파과).
Lee Hye-young shared that while many actors like Han Seok-kyu and Choi Min-sik had wanted to work with her in melodramatic roles, she often declined. Joking about Choi Min-sik, she said that during their time on the drama “Casino”, she once told him, “Lose some weight, and I’ll consider a melodrama with you.”

When Shin Dong-yeop suggested that a married couple role with Choi Min-sik could look amazing, Lee Hye-young responded, “There are actors who make me uncomfortable. Normally, ensemble acting comes easily to me, but with them, my acting gets blocked.”
She specifically named Choi Min-sik and Choi Min-soo, saying, “Both are very difficult to work with. My acting doesn’t go the way I want with them.”

When Shin Dong-yeop asked if it was because of their strong presence, Lee Hye-young replied, “I don’t even know why. No matter how much I try to steer the acting, it just doesn’t go my way with them.”
Laughing at the coincidence that both actors share the syllable “Min” (민) in their names, Shin Dong-yeop joked about it. Lee Hye-young then added warmly, “Among all the male actors I’ve worked with — except Kim Sung-cheol — they’re actually the best.”
She wrapped up the conversation with a lighthearted compliment to avoid any misunderstandings.
